Back at the Hotel!

I don't think I have ever been so excited and happy to bring anyone anywhere. After Professor said he would have her stay another day, I sweet-talked him into allowing her to come back to the hotel...a more comfortable and uplifting environment. She was very happy to get out of the hospital, though that is in no way a reflection of the UAMS quality of care. All of the people there are so caring and nice, we would recommend it to anyone having this or multiple myeloma...which it is also world famous for treating.

After the move, Laura is resting in the bedroom watching TV...though I was giving her grief for watching HSN, which she replied that they were cooking her yummy food (Wolfgang Puck was selling his stuff...and the prime rib looked great!). When Doc and Janet return from lunch, she will get to take a much needed shower...lover her to pieces, but she's getting ripe!

I am sure she will reach out later today, as will I as there is more news to share. Off to the pharmacy I go!

Glad to hear you were able to get out of the hospital!! And there's nothing like a nice shower to make you feel human again!! I felt like a different person once I was allowed to shower after all of my c-sections.

Feel better!! Love you!

This is a blast from your past! You sister, Jean and I were really close friends at Jewell. Mary Lou informed me of your journey. I want you to know how proud I am of you. As I read through the website, I see a journey of faith and healing. May you have the strength you need and find rest in Our Savior. You are an amazing woman! Let me know what you need. I am from Little Rock and have endless resources there. Sorry I am just finding out about this. Email me at cjsteve610@sbcglobal.net.

May God continue to heal you and give you the daily strength you need! Love, Cynthia Shows Walker

Glad to hear that your nightmare is about to end. Having been on both sides of the operating room table, I know that you still have a few miles to travel before you're back to your pre illness life, but at least the worry is over. My first procedure was at age 42 and during my recuperation I felt like I was 70. Today, I am over 70 and I feel better than I did at 42. Since I believe I brought you into this world, I think I should have some say about your staying healthy.

I know Laura must be feeling better when she is able to partake in our mutual addiction of Infomercials (Bare Minerals will do wonders for your thin scar!!) Still thinking of you daily...and I am confident you'll be well enough to watch the season premiere of the Bachelor on September 24th!!
Love,
Lara

Hey Laura and Chad! Love you guys!

I was out of town this weekend and couldn't wait to get back and read the updates. Laura, you're gorgeous! I was so utterly relieved to see pictures of you and read your own words.

Hopefully you smell better now after a shower! I bet that felt exhausting but so good. Glad to hear you're settling into the hotel. My thoughts are all on you these days, and I am so much looking forward to seeing you soon. Hopefully that's what Chad's cliffhanger was related to...a return trip to GR. I don't think I can take too many more surprises!!!

I am home all night if you need anything---sorry I missed your call, Chadlet.

Peace always be in your sweet little heart, Laura. You are doing great, my dear.

"as she is getting ripe..." hee hee. Hopefully they will have some good reality TV marathon shows on for you to watch. I will keep you posted as I think Laguna Beach may have a marathon coming up soon. Hugs and Kisses

Hey Laura,
I'm really happy to hear that you are out of the hospital and getting stronger. There is nothing better to look at than pictures of you post-surgery with this thing out! Stick with those prunes or Chad will be making those 'kids' jokes for a while. Thinking about you all the time, praying for you, and wishing you a strong recovery!!!
Love,
Dipak
