She Speaks!

I thought I'd take the opportunity to post something while Chad doesn't need his computer; and, he's otherwise occupied watching his brothers football game on TV...we were supposed to be there right now, but this surgery changed our plans around a little bit.

Not much more to write than what Chad has already. I ate well today. Lots of fruit and prunes (yuck!). Dad made me some salmon and wild rice and delivered it to the hospital. It was awesome and the closest thing to real food I've had in days. I am excited to get out of here and back to the hotel. Very excited to wash my hair/shower and get these compression boots off...they said I have to wear the hose for awhile.

Someone has already spoken for getting to be the one to adorne the little patch of hair on my right side with pink beads...so don't everyone fight over that! My sister sent me some beautiful scarves to hide the war wounds, which I will be wearing for awhile, I'm sure. I don't think my hair will cover it that easily, we'll see. I'm not too concerned. I feel totally blessed that he got the tumor out and that I have all my faculties about me. I have a lot to be thankful for. OK, I think that will be it for tonight. Thanks for all the continued prayers for my complete recovery and all the love I know is being sent our way.

Oh, I'm so thrilled to read something you wrote, Laura! I'm so thankful that your "whit" is still there and that you are still the same Laura. God has been at work, hasn't He? I'm still praying for you all the time, and I can't wait to visit with you in person.
PS I think you look GREAT, given that you just had brain surgery less than a week ago.
I love you!!

Hi Laura,
So great to hear from you. Miss you tons. Can't wait til you are feeling so much better and we can talk. You look great! I cannot believe they were able to do what they did with such a small incision. I want some pink beads too!! :)

Love you,
Alisha

Wow, Laura! How awesome to see your words on this screen! When Chad posted those pics yesterday, it made me cry for all the pain you've gone through, even though I know in my heart you are going to have the best possible outcome of a bad situation and you will back squeezing baby heads with us soon! You and your family are never far from my thoughts and always in my prayers. I am sending you a psychic sacral mobilization and a left lower quadrant visceral lift to get/keep things moving! Better than no OMT at all, but not much! Love you! Laura G

Laura, it is so nice to have you writing again! I absolutely love your curl in the picture. You look and ARE amazing!! Thanks so much for sharing your journey with us all.
Chad, we have only met briefly but I feel like I really know you now. As all the others have said, thank you so much for keeping up with the blog. We can never tell you how comforting it has been. It is stressful to have loved ones in the hospital and you have handled it awesomely!!
Ai to heiwa! (love and peace)!

We have been on pins and needles with anticipation for you to "speak"! Chad has been wonderful and even entertaining keeping us all informed, but seeing your printed words is a huge relief! The power of prayer!
I do believe that you have set a new bar for us all. The updo with the side dangle curl, wow! Only you would be able to create a new fashion statement with a brain surgery incision. Rappers will think its all the rage! We are truly awed by you!!! Love Ya, Linda

Laura,

It is so great to see your posting. You are so amazing! God is so in control of your life, he knows you have many babies to help yet and needs to heal you fast so you can get back to them. Still in prayer for you, can't wait to see you.
All my love,
Carolyn

Hi Laura!
It's great to read a message posted by you! Praise God for your continued recovery. I think you look wonderful, stitches and all. Our son, Zachary saw your picture just now and we prayed for God to continue to heal you. He also commented that his scar is bigger than yours (his is a T shape). Kids say the funniest things. :) Don't worry; it will be easy to cover. We can barely see Zachary's scar and his hair is quite short.
God is so good!
Love & prayers,
Mary Lou, Jason, Zachary and Lexi
