Walking...No Problem

In an effort to gauge progress, they had her walk to the bathroom with my assistance. There was no issue with the left leg at all, and aside from getting nauseous, she did fantastic. She hasn't eaten much of anything in the last day and a half, so she agreed to let me feed her some Griffeth Gourmet Banana Pudding...look for it soon on supermarket shelves in your neighborhood. It is a delicately prepared concoction of mashed banana and....mashed banana. She ate about 5 bites and is drinking a lot more water.

Kind of funny...I discussed with our nurse Laura's gluten allergy and sensitivity to dairy, and that a fruit plate would suffice as a meal. What did they send? Two popsicles and some jello. That's just funny. They have it straightened out now, but how does anyone in a hospital consider that to be a nutritious option? I can't help but laugh.

Since the walk to the bathroom, she has been sleeping soundly aside from the bites of gourmet banana pudding and intermittent sips of water. Continued prayers for relief from her headache are much appreciated. No pain, no pain...

Chad, did your left cheek thaw out yet? (I will avoid the obvious comments about being half-a$$ed!) Thank you so much for your wonderful sense of humor through this, it is amazing and is so helpful to those of us who are so worried from afar. Your ability to laugh makes me feel much more relaxed. And of course, thank you for taking the time to keep this updated. It really helps me feel connected to you both. Please know that we all love you both to pieces! Please let us know when/where we can send stuff. It makes us feel better!
love, Laura G

Just curious....did the popsicles have Splenda in them???!!! Laura, you are an amazing woman! Way to go, my friend! And Chad-such a gourmet! I had no idea!

I am absolutely JOYOUS about how things are going, and ever so grateful to God!

Have a good night, with hopefully less head pain as that lovely brain assumes its suitable place!

Dear Chad and Laura, the prayer list is dwindling down mighty fast. One prayer ..... NO MORE HEADACHES! I can only imagine that God is working on healing that brain of yours as quickly as possible! He has really "cracked the whip" so far, and I know he will be on top of this as well! May you both have a restful sleep. Gods' peace be with you both.
Good Night - Jennifer

Dear Laura,

You have been in my thoughts constantly. I have absolutely known that all would be well, and now it is wonderful to hear how great you are doing. Twice when Chad then your Mom called the Resident's room, Jaime was right by the phone when it rang, and I was next to her. We were both SO relieved to hear of your good outcome and progress. Know how much we all care about you and love you and how many lives in Grand Rapids have been "on hold" waiting for some good news to come. God could never let anything bad happen to you L.T., for you are far too special and important in so many people's lives. It will be good to have you home. I am working on locating your pink lab coat. Keep getting well. Love, your friend Lynne

Chad - you are an amazing person. Laura is VERY blessed to have you by her side. I so appreciate all the updates. It's been great to follow Laura's progress. As always, we are praying and praying. Praying that the headaches go away, that she gets rest and makes a FULL, healthy recovery! It sounds like she well on her way!
