Sitting With Her

I am sitting next to her on the bannister next to her bed. No worries about the scorching midwest heat wave, as my left cheek is on the AC vent. Too much information...you wouldn't believe how great she looks...more color than she has had in weeks, everything is working on her left side, and speaking clearly without any issue. Professor just stopped by to say how brave she was during the MRI, which is really tough on people following brain surgery due to the volume of the mechanism. Best of all, he said the MRI shows they got ALL of the tumor out! Praise His Name!

She is very happy to be able to drink water today as the oxygen mask really dried her mouth out yesterday, which we could tell during our visits. She has yet to have an appetite, but Professor is not worried about that. She is resting now as they gave her some codeine for her headache.

The only lingering issue at this point is her headache, so that makes for a great prayer request. Please pray that the headache disappears for good, allowing her body to focus on recovery in a very comfortable state without pharmaceutical/herbal assistance. I know she would like nothing more than comfort during recovery she can return home soon.

As I sit here in this quiet room with her, I cannot put into words what your prayer, blog comments, and notes do to provide us strength through Him. I am so humbled by this, if for no one else. it is bringing me so close to Him, for without Him, I would be an absolute mess right now. Thanks again, and I will update throughout the day as things progress.

Lola...lalalala Lola....lalalala Lola...
We miss you, love you and have been praying for you nonstop Auntie Lola! Mommy can't wait to talk to you, as she has been lonely on Windows Live Messenger without you being able to respond. :-) The updates from Uncle Chad, Papa and Grammy have been great...but we would rather talk to you ourselves. We continue to pray for you and are so thankful for you and rejoice at how the Lord is carrying you through this. We Love You Lola! Love, Benny, Jakey BoBo (for Mommy and Daddy too)

Praise God! I have been on my computer more in the last two days that Gibson would like! I finally got a few complete prayers in (thanks to Gibson being asleep). Yesterday's prayers were more of a mantra as I would get into a prayer and Little Man would either try to grab the lamp off the table or get into the DVD's (National Lampoon's is the DVD of choice this week!)

I could not be happier to hear that the tumor is gone! God is watching over you both! We will continue to pray that her headache goes away.

Now I am a little confused as to what part of a chinese menu would be gluten free - perhaps an explaination on that upon your return would be of benefit! Ha!

I saw it was only to be 111 degrees there today - yikes! Take care of yourselves.

Chad - this blog is such a great tool to keep all of us informed. keep up the good work! Thanks for the time and energy you have put into keeping us in the loop!

We serve an awesome, awesome God don't we? We are so thankful for Laura's healing so far and we will be praying for total healing.

1 Chronicles 29:11-13 (KJV)

"Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power
and the glory and the majesty and the splendor,
for everything in heaven and earth is yours.
Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom;
you are exalted as head over all.

Wealth and honor come from you;
you are the ruler of all things.
In your hands are strength and power
to exalt and give strength to all.

Now, our God, we give you thanks,
and praise your glorious name."

God bless you Chad as you consistantly update this blog. Thanks so much. I am praying for a continued strength for you too!

What more can be said than Praise and Glory to God!!! I am in awe of His work in our dear Princess! And now prayers for pain relief, excellent and speedy healing, and perfect pathology results in a week.

Chad, I share your feelings--this whole thing has helped all of us know and trust our God, in VERY tangible ways. The more we let the Lord lead us and cast our worries and fears at His feet, the more we are able to see His work being done all around us. Good thing He's in charge!

Love to you all, there. Being a mom, I can only scarcely imagine the relief for Dr. and Mrs. T---please let them know that I am so glad for them, too!

Oh my word!!!Only our awesome Tinning would walk the day after surgery!!! Blessed, blessed, blessed!!!

I think, as a family, we have prayed with more focus and deep belief in our prayers than ever before. The kids have really experienced the meaning and also the POWER of true prayer through you these past few weeks, and we are so grateful for that. They have NO IDEA, ofcourse, how amazing it is that you have woken up, moved your left side and then walked. They just expected it because we told them to pray for these things and if they meant it truly, God would hear them and it would happen. Kids REALLY have the purest belief and faith, it's neat.

I can hardly wait for you to come back. We're going to have to try not to attack you when you return...but really, I need someone to eat dark chocolate with, and soon. So, it's really good of you to recover so quickly, so we can selfishly have you back sooner:)

We love you both so dearly, and Chad, you could quit your day job and just blogg (a verb, yes?)for a living...you have kept us so well informed...you have no idea how often I keep running to the computer thru the day, it's crazy! Thanks!! DAP
