Thank you to all my prayer warrior friends who are lifting me up before our Father! We will all be able to rejoice together and praise Him for my total healing! Please keep posting comments on the blog...I love to read them!

Today has been a good day. God is healing my headache from the spinal tap, and I am able to be up and around more...it's a nice change. I got some IV fluids from one of my clinics to help hydrate, which helps recover from the headaches by (in a roundabout way) helping regenerate my spinal fluid that was lost in the "leak". It's more complicated than that, but that's the best I can do!

Mom is still here, still cleaning and doing laundry! What a blessing she has been to have around, help me out and keep me company. She will have to leave tomorrrow and that will be an adjustment. I have plenty of willing friends that will keep me company (thanks!) and my sister will probably come back this week.

Chad and I will be meeting with the neurosurgeon in town tomorrow to talk about the next step. Pray for wisdom for the upcoming decisions we will be making. Pray that God leads us to the best possible surgeon and institution that we could get. Continue to pray for peace and comfort for us, and of course for my total healing!

YOU are my SUNSHINE. I know we have had this conversation before but I met you (even though I wanted nothing to do with you after squeezing my beloved son out of me and you were all perfect and pretty) for a reason and Lucas and John and I pray every day for healing and strength and understanding and peace and comfort. I LOVE YOU FRIEND.

Laura and Chad,
I am now entering the new millenium as I type on my first blog. As I read, I now have an appreciation of the wonderful brothers and sisters in Christ that lift you up in prayer. I will share my favorite verse with you as I feel it may give you encouragement:

You, Lord, give perfect peace to those who keep their purpose firm and put their trust in you. Isaiah 26:3

Javier and I join in praying as we watch God miraculously restore you to health.

BLESSINGS LAURA AND CHAD,
Javier and Alicia Morales

Laura,
It was so good to talk with you today. I wasn't at all surprised to hear the calm assurance in your voice that I know all too well. You are and always have been a tremendous, calming force in my life. We've shared so many of life's triumphs and tribulations together. I hope you know I'm serious about coming & being there with you in your time of need. I will be praying throughout the day tomorrow that God will give you a clear peace about where to go for the best treatment possible. You are the best, and you deserve the best! God won't give you anything you can't handle, dear friend. We know that is true. Just continue being the ever-faithful Laura that we all know & love. I'll check on you in a day or two.
Love,
Jennifer

Hey, Princess! I am here in the Newborn Nursery with all the gals and we are all sending our love! I forwarded them your home address so that you can receive some mail from all your friends here, too! I am glad that yesterday was a better day. I am praying for your appointment today with Dr. Neurosurgeon...Spencer? I hope that there is good news and a plan that keeps you near us during this process of healing. Love you!

Hi Laura and Chad,
You are continuously in our prayers. Laura, I think of you so much during the day. You have been a tremendous friend nearly my whole life. I can only hope that my children find friends like you. I am so glad we were able to see each other last month. Please know if you need anything, I am only a phone call away.

I'm so thankful that your headache is going away. I pray that you and Chad receive the wisdom to deal with all that you are going through and that you heal completely.

I love you so much! Miss you!

Laura-

As I always remembered, you and Jean always have had a singular focus on our Lord and in living your lives in a way that is pleasing to Him. Your strength in sharing the frustration, pain and uncertainty is a testament to your Faith and your belief in turning it all over to Him. My wife, Tanya, have you and your family in our prayers--we pary for your healing and quick recovery.

You and Chad are in our thoughts and prayers! It's been too long since I have seen you and wish I could give you a hug but we are storming heaven with prayers and know that God will look after you and take care of you.
Much love from Kansas!

As a survivor, I know it's rough, but it's worth all the time and energy to survive this time.
